Sonata XIII London (WSW 18) comes from his middle period.

The Sonata has 7 movements:  Prelude, Allemande, Courante, Angloise, Sarabande, Menuet and it ends with the famous Passagaille.

The Prelude is not original in this sonata but is added by me from Sonata II London (WSW 2) to make it more complete.

To create more concordance with the baroque tuning of the lute, the g – string is lowered by a semitone to f – sharp.

The Sonata ia written in D – major. For ease and effectiveness of playing I have transposed the Sonata to G – major
