January 2021: 3 more works of Michelangolo Galilei (1) Toccata in tres partes from Sonata in D – minor and (2) Toccata and (3) Corrente III from Sonata in A
Michelangelo (1575 – 1631) was the youngest son of Vincenzo Galilei (who was a lutenist, composer, bass singer and music theorist in Pisa and Firenze), but also the younger brother of the famous astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei. Like father both brothers played the lute but Michelangelo was the most talented (on the lute 😉 ).
